As a board member of NICER, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance our communities through events and community initiatives that create a sense of belonging and develop a healthy, vibrant, and welcoming community for all residents.
This leadership role requires:
ATTEND MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGS - Actively participate in board meetings, which are generally held on the fourth Monday of the month at 5:00 pm.
EVENT & PROJECT PARTICIPATION - Actively participate in planning and volunteering during NICER events and projects, including but not limited to the Hygge Hike, Spooky Trail Walk, Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up, NICER Community Garden.
CONFIDENTIALITY - Maintain a strict confidentiality regarding topics that are discussed at board meetings.
COLLABORATIVE DECISION-MAKING - Refrain from acting individually on board responsibilities; focus on team-based, "board-level" decision making and governance.
