GIVING TREE

The 3rd annual Giving Tree, a partnership between NICER, the Iron County Department of Human Services Community Cares program, and the City of Hurley will be back this holiday season!

The Giving Tree will be located outdoors at the City of Hurley office, 405 5th Avenue N in Hurley and will include gift request tags for community members to collect and purchase gifts for area youth in need. Last year, 300+ gift requests were fulfilled and with the help of generous donations from organizations and individuals, NICER was able to provide 50+ families in need with complete bathroom essential baskets.

Kelly Traczyk, NICER board member and Giving Tree organizer, recently sent donation request letters to last year’s donors with hopes to once again provide bathroom essential baskets for each family and individual gifts for area youth. If you would like to help spread some holiday cheer, there are a couple of ways you can help:

1. Donate to the Giving Tree by mailing a donation to: NICER, 13 Number 4 Road, Montreal WI 54550. Donation will be used to purchase bathroom essential baskets and any unfulfilled gift requests. Please make checks payable to NICER. We also accept donations via PayPal (click the link below and be sure to specify that you would like to donate to the Giving Tree by using the drop-down box). 2. Stop by the Giving Tree, which will be located at the City of Hurley office on 5th Avenue and pick up a tag to help fulfill wish list items for a local child in need. Please drop off unwrapped gifts at the Iron County Department of Human Services, the City of Hurley offices by Friday, December 10th! You can also attend the Hurley Chamber's Frost, Family and Fun event on December 10, which also serves as a drop off location.
