KIMBALL PARK FACE LIFT

NICER CLEANS UP KIMBALL PARK AT JULY MEETING

July 24, 2019

After hearing feedback at the Northern Iron County Community Placemaking Workshop, which was held in May 2020, NICER decided to hold their July meeting at Kimball Town Park.

Known for it's beautiful waterfall, picnic area and pavilion on the West branch of the Montreal River, many community members visit the park with their families. Photographers also use the park for family and wedding photos.

A Kimball resident who attended the workshop mentioned that she noticed the picnic tables and benches were looking a little worn, so that is where NICER decided to step in to lend a hand.

Several NICER members and community members spent the afternoon sprucing up some of the park equipment with new stain and provided general park clean-up.

Thank you to everyone who helped at this meeting. The park looks great!

NICER members, Maleah Cummings and Ciara Relyea, gave this picnic table a nice facelift.

NICER member Ken Saari and community volunteer, Diane Simonich used teamwork to add a new coat of stain to this wooden bench.
